Welcome to the Dogwood Suite at Rockwell Ridge, a beautifully appointed 1-bedroom, 1-bath mountain hideaway in Afton, Virginia, just minutes from Veritas Winery and the celebrated Nelson 151 wine and brewery trail.
Designed for couples, small families, and intimate getaways, the suite comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests with a king bed, additional sofa-sleeper, and a spa-inspired bathroom featuring a clawfoot tub, skylight, and modern infinity-style shower.

The Dogwood Suite is one of four distinct accommodations at Rockwell Ridge, a 20+ acre mountain property. Your suite and entrance are private, while the deck, trails, creeks, parking, and portions of the grounds are shared with other guests.
The suite does not have a full kitchen but includes a mini fridge, Keurig, microwave, and small dining area. The Dogwood Suite shares a wall with the neighboring Chestnut Suite.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome with prior approval ($50 per pet, per stay). Quiet hours are 10 PM–10 AM. Events and gatherings require prior approval.

Enjoy the tranquility of the Blue Ridge Mountains with easy access to Veritas Winery (~2 minutes), Nelson 151 wineries and breweries (2–10 minutes), the Blue Ridge Parkway (~15 minutes), Wintergreen Resort (~20 minutes), and Charlottesville (~35–40 minutes).
A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding wine country and mountain attractions.

Cute place. Very cozy. Great location to unwind after visiting Shenandoah National Park.

A perfect place to escape the city for a long weekend! We enjoyed the location; it was private and peaceful but close to nearby breweries and attractions. Plus, our dog loved the wooded trails on the property. Edward was a responsive host, and we would definitely stay here again.

Location was great, we had a wonderful break. Good information and support from the host. Bathroom floor can become slippy following a shower. Just need to be mindful of this. Would be nice to have a toaster and tea towel.

We had an amazing trip to the mountains. Edward’s place was outstanding. Would definitely stay there again. Very peaceful!!!

Love this little place perfect for what we needed fully stocked with coffee, tea, towels shampoo, conditioner, body wash. I love when a place is stocked like that! Also the bed was SO comfortable we slept like babies!!! It’s absolutely so convenient if you are visiting Veritas or Afton Mountain vineyards and it was super close to where we had an amazing dinner in Staunton. Will be back with friends soon!

Will definitely stay at one of these properties again. Great launching point for all that Nelson county brew country has to offer, hikes in SNP, or a concert and shopping walkabout in Charlottesville.

This was such an inviting and comfortable space The amenities were exceptionally well stocked. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as coffee creamer, bottled water, and other essentials that made us feel right at home. The host truly thought of everything! Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay in the Afton Va area
