Welcome to the Garden Suite at Rockwell Ridge, a beautifully designed studio retreat in Afton, Virginia, just minutes from Veritas Winery and the celebrated Nelson 151 wine and brewery trail.
Perfect for couples, small families, and intimate getaways, the suite comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests with a king bed, queen sleeper sofa, a fully equipped designer kitchen, and a spa-inspired bathroom featuring a walk-in rainfall shower with a unique natural stone feature.

★ GOOD TO KNOW ★
The Garden Suite is one of four distinct accommodations at Rockwell Ridge, a mountain property with expansive wooded grounds. Your suite and entrance are private, while the gardens, fire pit, trails, creeks, parking, and other outdoor areas are shared with guests staying in the property's other accommodations.
Located on the lower level of the main Inn, the Garden Suite may experience occasional footsteps or everyday household sounds from above. We've added sound-insulating construction and provide a white noise machine and complimentary earplugs for your comfort.
Unlike our Chestnut and Dogwood Suites, the Garden Suite includes a full kitchen with a gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and everything needed to prepare meals during your stay.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome with prior approval ($50 per pet, per stay). Quiet hours are 10 PM–10 AM. Events and gatherings require prior approval.
For larger groups or a private mountain getaway, explore The Retreat, our exclusive-use booking option featuring the Inn, Chestnut Suite, and Dogwood Suite.

Enjoy the tranquility of the Blue Ridge Mountains with easy access to Veritas Winery (~2 minutes), Nelson 151 wineries and breweries (2–10 minutes), the Blue Ridge Parkway (~15 minutes), Wintergreen Resort (~20 minutes), and Charlottesville (~35–40 minutes).
A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding wine country and mountain attractions.

Came out here to enjoy the crab tree falls trails. The place looked exactly like the photos. Mornings were spent on the yoga overlooking spot and walking the trails. Nights were spent by the fireplace and then inside on the comfy bed. Edward was very responsive to all my inquiries. Great stay for sure!

We stayed one night at Edward's place and it was great. Super clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. There were nice extra touches too - candles, noise machine, dog-friendly items, etc. The location is excellent. It was in a quiet spot that felt very relaxing, while also being close to a number of wineries. Would stay again!

I've stayed at Rockwell Ridge a couple times now, and each stay has been consistently excellent. Edward is responsive, he replies quickly to any question, and the space is exactly as described. Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. It feels like a true retreat. Warm, relaxing, and exactly the reset I need. Edward's genuine care shows in all the details. Always a great stay.

Truly enjoyed our stay! Edward was very responsive and had some great recommendations. He was flexible with our stay since we didn’t realize the first booked listing didn’t have a full kitchen. The bed was extremely comfortable! Best sleep we have gotten in a while. The only challenge we had was the lack of WiFi the first night and couldn’t watch tv, but he made sure someone was out the next day to fix it. Wineries and eateries close by, definitely recommend getting out and exploring. Clean space and truly enjoyed relaxing in this space. Hope you enjoy it too!

Really spacious studio and gorgeous grounds that our dog really enjoyed running around on! The tree swing was a nice touch.
