Welcome to The Retreat at Rockwell Ridge, a private Blue Ridge mountain escape designed for families, friends, and groups to gather, reconnect, and unwind in the heart of Virginia wine country.
With 5 bedrooms, 5 designer bathrooms, and accommodations for up to 16 guests, The Retreat combines our spacious 3-bedroom Inn with two beautifully appointed king suites—Chestnut and Dogwood. Enjoy the comfort of separate living spaces, the convenience of a gourmet kitchen, and exclusive use of the included accommodations and expansive mountain grounds.

★ GOOD TO KNOW ★
Your reservation includes the entire 3-bedroom Inn and both luxury king suites (Chestnut and Dogwood), each with its own private entrance and bathroom. The Inn features the property's full kitchen and main gathering spaces, while the suites offer additional privacy, king beds, and convenient kitchenette amenities.
The Retreat is an exclusive-use reservation, meaning your group will have the entire 20+ acre property to yourselves, with no other overnight guests on-site. While the separate Garden Suite is not included in your accommodations, it is blocked from other reservations throughout your stay.
Up to 8 dogs are welcome with prior approval ($50 per pet, per stay). Quiet hours are 10 PM–10 AM. Events, parties, and larger gatherings require advance approval.

Located just off Nelson County's scenic Route 151, Rockwell Ridge offers the perfect balance of mountain seclusion and convenient access to some of Virginia's most beloved destinations.
Explore Veritas Vineyard & Winery (~2 minutes), Route 151 wineries and breweries (2–10 minutes), the Blue Ridge Parkway (~15 minutes), Wintergreen Resort (~20 minutes), and Charlottesville (~35–40 minutes).
A car is recommended for exploring the surrounding wine country and Blue Ridge Mountains.

This is such a great place to stay. It's peaceful but also very close to several great wineries and hiking trails. The space is very thoughtfully appointed and Edward was a friendly and responsive host. Highly recommend!

Great place! Such a pretty location; quiet and private, especially since we occupied the whole inn & suites. Beautiful spacious home, woods & creek. Very pet friendly, cute baskets for the dogs; they loved running in the woods and fields. Home & kitchen were well equipped for our needs. All the beds were incredibly comfortable. We loved the fire pit! Edward was very responsive and accommodating, even with extra requests & needs. Everyone said they would definitely stay here again! Thank you so much!

Our stay at Edward's was wonderful. I hosted my best friend's bachelorette at Edward's beautiful home for a long weekend! Check-in was customized to us and was super easy. The Inn and Suites are very private along a very long driveway which not only helped us feel safe, but we were able to celebrate without worrying about bothering neighbors! The property was beautiful as was the surrounding areas; we were very close to many wineries and just a short drive to Charlottesville. The few happenstance things that came up, Edward responded almost immediately with solutions or accommodations. I could not recommend this home enough!

We had an incredible stay! I booked this place to celebrate my birthday with my family, and it turned out to be such a special experience. The host (Edward )was always on top of every detail and responded quickly, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The place looks exactly as described—cozy, clean, and perfect for quality family time. Truly a memorable stay!
